The silence in the room is almost oppressive, and the only sound is the soft rustle of fabric gliding across the floor. Silk and soft tulle shimmer in the light while the dancers move across the space, light and unforced. Nobody says a word, yet a subtle choreography takes shape. As the dancers move, the dresses come to life. They breathe and move with them until the two blend into one.
This photo series brings together handcrafted fashion from designer Marc Le Bihan’s Paris studio, the dancers of Co3 Contemporary Dance, and the curation of Dilettante. The sculptural silk and tulle creations blur the line between boutique and stage and introduce new approaches to embodiment. Each piece is made by hand in Paris and made to order, in custom silhouettes and colors.
