Hard and Soft

At its core, fashion is an ongoing dialogue between form and movement, structure and fluidity. For this season, the house presents a radical exploration into two fundamental pillars of garment design.

Rooted in a deep appreciation for Parisian atelier traditions, the collection reappropriates the dual practices of Tailoring, responsible for structural hard construction, and Flou, the art of soft dressmaking and draping. The result is a visionary re-interpretation of archetypal garments. Classic trench coats are transformed with hardened wide panels running horizontally across the waist or vertically along the sides. Tailored jackets and waistcoats feature fortified internal creases that retain their folded lines even when unbuttoned. Meanwhile, outward-curving chest panels create a corset-like silhouette without any physical constriction, perfectly balanced by elongated wrap skirts where fortified materials meet humble soft cotton.

Framed by a runway set by floral artist Mark Colle, an homage to Raf Simons’ celebrated 2012 couture debut capturing flowers as if affected by the passage of time, this theme of preserved beauty echoes through vivid floral prints running across the garments.
